about

The band's second album, Esperanza, rings like an modern day epic battle between the forces of love and hate. What began as simply a follow-up to the 2005 release of their first politically charged album, Chorro, Esperanza soom became a monster-project all of it's own. The result, a 23-track concept album that spans the sonic gamut, is sure to take you on a trip like no other.

Layers on top of layers and still more layers sums up the album called Esperanza, which translates to "hope" in English. Hard-hitting hip hop beats turn to haunting Spanish guitar licks laced with samples of body counts and bomb drops followed by cool down reggae riddems, psychedelic dub jams, heart wrenching acoustic ballads and raw to the bone punk. There are five different languages laced into this album.

We weren't looking for commercial success, we were swinging for the ugly truth.

On board this production is an entire legion of talented and colorful peoples, including underground hip hop guru Karmic Basis, uber-talented electronica producer Rival, the great IntoCognition, members of The Debonaires, The B-Side Players, Jupiter Rising and much more.

Track Name: Sweet Baby Rays
tell the people of the world today
tell the people how to make love stay:

take a little
and give a lot
take a little bit more
and give it all you've got

straight up i'm waitin for my rocksteady girl
Track Name: Comedown
Come Down

(Words by McCoy, Franco)

lord i'm gonna come back someday

but today i stand alone

lord i'm gonna come back some way

but now i'm on my own

troubled soul

lost and gone

call it the come-down you're on

get control

a hard row to hoe

take the long road and come back home.

addicted to the fade-away

slippin' farther everyday

runnin' from reality

looking for the lunch that's free

check the menu

cold blood inna shallow dish

yea i'm gonna fix it quick

and do whatever for instant pleasure

fools treasure

heartache pressure

i can't take it no more

i'm tired of wanting

i'm weary of wishes

wanna get back my gills

and go swim with the fishes

true love in my life

is no place to hide behind

true love in my life is no place

is no place

i'm losing grace

i've gone astray

jah jah can you hear me?

on my knees i pray.

prodigal sons and daughters

are we all

taking the chance of a lifetime

with each step that falls

and even the wisest must

right their wrongs

you reap what you sow

when the harvest comes to you

i'm comming back home yes i'm comming back home

to redemption

i'm comming back home yes i'm comming back home

to love and acceptace

and yes i know i will have to live to fight another day

but that's just part of the battle i say.
Track Name: Johny's Song
must be nice
living it up in California
no worries is what some say
but i get woried everyday
this aint the place for me
cant get no reciprocity
some people plan to stay in bed
but i'll be stepping out instead

when i try to get real high
they bring me down
when i try to stand up tall
they shrink me down
when i try to push them off
oh they pull me down down down

when i get outta babylon
i'm never going back

when i try to get real high
they bring me down
when i try to stand up tall
they shrink me down
when i try to push them off
oh they pull me down

it's not enough for me to live a life of luxry
no way
sorry sir but i can't compramise for you today
i hope you find a better way
but there's no time for me to stay

when i try to get real high
they bring me down
when i try to stand up tall
they shrink me down
when i try to push them off
they pull me down down down
